In some ways this particular music video is conventional as it involves the members of the band, and although they are not playing their instruments, they are included in the video. The camera is panning around the room, not using a variety of shots which is an unconventional aspect of music videos.

This music video is somewhat conventional as it portrays a particular story which many music videos do. It also features the artists miming the words and choreographed dance routines which are common aspects of music videos. However, this video is quite different to others as the story is more prominant and doesn't necessarily fit with the lyrics.

I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper - Amsterdamned from Teemu Niukkanen on Vimeo.

This video is unconventional as it doesn't use the artist or has any specific dance routines or lip syncing. It is interesting as it fits with the lyrics.

  1. Emily you are very behind with research and planning. At present I can't locate a detailed analysis of a music video on your blog. This was due in by the end of September. We need your analysis so that we can five you a half term assessment mark. Contact me if you you are having any technical problems with blogging.

  2. Emily you obviously have a block re posting your work onto your blog but I'd like to encourage you to post work without delay so that I can monitor your conceptual understanding. At present what you have here wouldn't pass muster. Next lesson could you bring all the work you have in your folder so that I can assess your progress.

  3. Emily I suggest you reference your coursework booklet - your research into music videos needs to strongly link with your production. Though these music videos are provocative and voyeuristic and thus interesting they have absolutely nothing to do with the sensitive and relatively conservative elements of your production. At present this aspect of your coursework does not meet requirements expected at A Level.
